Ok I raised this issue awhile ago else where and kind of got the response of "so what does it matter... it's just someone definition so what". etc.
But I feel that it is important that for those that are unaware of our situation actually get the truth when they go searching for it. Places like
dictionary.com and wiki, youtube, google etc and places where people are going to go to find out ...and do their own research yet just how correct is that info they stumble across?

I highlighted the words and phases I have a beef with. Also the contradiction of the following:-
"a person who has undergone medical and surgical procedures to alter
external sexual characteristics to those of the opposite sex"
"A person with the external genitalia and
secondary sexual characteristics of one sex, but whose personal identification and psychosocial configuration is that of the opposite sex. "
A lot of what is written is more or less correct but there is a lot of misleading information in there, the word transsexual is classed as a noun but that makes people think we are by definition "transsexual" in our status of sex as opposed to being male or female. I think this is part of the problem that we are labelled as our medical conditions as a whole.
"A person who has undergone a sex change." Now..... in my eyes someone who has undergone a sex change.. a sex CHANGE!!!!! <----- is not a transsexual.. they are a male or female. It's not MTtranssexual or FTtranssexual it's MTF or FTM. That section should read as follows "A person that is in the process of transitioning from one sex to the other". Trans-sexual... that is what the word means. It's not someone who HAS.
