Chandigarh, Oct 27 (IANS) All senior citizens and transgenders in Haryana will now be eligible to get free legal services, an official said here Wednesday.

Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HALSA) member-secretary H.S. Bhangoo said the state government has amended the Haryana State Legal Services Rules, 1966, to include senior citizens and transgenders in the list of people eligible for free legal aid.

They would not have to pay advocate fees, court fees, expenses of witnesses, preparation of the paper book, supply of certified copies of judgments, orders and other documents.
