Artists Statement:

Even thought nowadays the situation of this group gets better, there are some misunderstanding. People sometime react or treat transgender with the perception of their previous gender. For example, a transwoman should be treated like a woman but is treated like a man instead.

From those points of view, I would like to create an art that improves a queer and transgender society. I would like to use my skill which is photography to do a portrait of a transgender. I also use an unclear plastic sheet to blur the face of a person and show only the outline of that person. In this case, any viewers can see only the illusion of sex and gender, not an actual photo of a person. For instance, a viewer can see a blur image of a girl who has make up and long hair <an ideal image of a woman>, not an actual image of a transwoman.  It means that a viewer should see, look, treat and react to a person with their ideal gender identity < an illusion of sex and gender that everyone can understand. A woman has make up and long hair with soft gesture while a man has short hair, flat chest with stiff gesture.>
