"Restore Sanity and/or Fear"

OMG!  This has been way more entertaining than I expected and very well done.  Stephen Colbert and John Stewart put together a rally held at the Washington Mall.  I don't think they ever anticipated the number of people that showed up.  There's people as far as the eye can see.  And I doubt anyone regretted going.  It's been brilliant and entertaining.

I was really surprised to see Cat Stevens (Yusef) performing "Peace Train" followed by Ozzy Osbourne doing "Crazy Train" then the O'Jays finishing up the skit with "Love Train."  Colbert stopped Yusef part way through his song saying, "I will not get on that train!" (keeping with his fear theme) then he brought out Ozzy who Stewart stopped part way through saying he wasn't getting on that train then they both agreed on what train they would get on and brought out the O'Jays.   :D

Colbert started his rally "Keep Fear Alive" as a poke at the fear-mongers.  Stewart did his rally a bit more serious with his "Rally to Restore Sanity".  Glen Beck's rally is said to be the motivation for this.

Colbert and Stewart put their two rallies together and so far it has been great.  With all the nutty things happening in politics it would be nice if this kind of thing woke up the voters so we don't end up with the likes of Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Carl Paladino and Joe Miller in government.

They wanted a better turnout than Glen Beck had and they succeeded.
