Well... about peeing... I am not on Spiro, but I am drinking a lot of water... well... it's a good way to eat less, and clean the body, and helps the kidneys too...

so I go about 4 or 5 times while I am at work per day... (from 8am to 6 pm).

I don't know how much water I drink per day... but probably about 5-6 tall glasses of water...

That's pretty normal I think. Once every 2 hours is fair and acceptable. Some people go once every 4? hours but 2 hours is fine. I'd guess you drink 10-12 cups of water a day which is actually very good.

I swear to god if Spiro makes me go every 30 minutes-1 hour I'll just go with the extra pain of the other medications xD

It really is too bad they don't do these in transdermal versions.

But Aidan : I am not sure, but I believe Androcur does make you pee as spironolactone.

I had to pee a lot when I started, but its calmed down recently.

AweSAM!

Within the first month:

  • My sense of smell improved by a ridiculous margin.
  • My skin became noticeably softer.
  • My nipples became kind of puffy and extremely tender.
  • I was overcome by a sensation of calm.

Louise2010

I am 61 and on my third day of estrogen valerate and nothing else.

I feel very calm mentally and happy.

my only concern is that I am on a very low level of estrogen and I want quick changes!  ;D

I am from the UK and under ChX hospital and live in the midlands.

well I've just started my new regime...E, anti-androgen, progestorone and finistrade ahving done 3.5months on e alone...I'll keep you updated on the changes as they happen. ;D

I'm doing Estrogen, Spiro, and Finesteride.   My Doctor isn't crazy about the risk/benefit factor of progesterone but she said that after a bit if we want to try it, she's open to discussing it.

I figured I would see how things go with just Estrogen for a bit.

I'm seeing pretty quick results in some changes.  I look in the mirror and have started to see more of a woman's face.  It doesn't look as "bony" as it used to.  My hair also is starting to have a different texture.  It lays in my head differently now.

A little update...
I had bumped into a few friends that hadn't seen me in a few months and this is what they said, "WOW, you look great!"  "Have you lost a little weight?"  "Man, you look younger for some reason"  and a friend that knows about me said "Your butt is looking f...in' hot...I mean, I'm in awe of your butt...can I squeeze it!"  So, it looks like it's working.  Honestly, I can't tell as much as my wife or my friends that know. I'm hoping for a lot more. But I know I have to be patient. At this point, (I started Sept. 30th) I have noticed some changes in my skin and face. The fat is re-distributing around the face and around my thigh/butt area. My skin is even softer than it was when I first posted on this thread too. My Nips are itching and I get these little stabs around and on them. BUT I don't really see them getting all that bigger yet :(  .
Can I get this to work like YESTERDAY! LOL.

Well, I am very happy reading your posts!!

It's a slow process, no doubt, but we are looking forward to the changes!!

On my side, I feel calmer too, no physical changes yet, but again, I am in a low dose of E.

Probably in one or two weeks I will complement it with a low dose of T blocker...

I am using this time with low doses to get a little more toned and loose some weight. I am about 6,2 tall and weight about 187 lbs, so I am quite HWP, but still have some fat in my belly area... that would love to get rid off...

I am also working mentally to better be prepared for the changes in my body and psyche... (if that is possible).

I've gotten this from some friends too it really caught me off guard. I also feel much more sensitive to criticism from friends about things.

First noticeable change: acne cleared up.
I don't really remember the order of things after that, but I generally started to appear more feminine as I gained weight (I was superduper thin). Pre-transition I was virtually a sexless, mobile skeleton waiting to become one gender or another.

So, I know this is 2.5 years old, but I thought I'd not start up a new thread, and bring this back from the dead..

There are a number of new members here and I was wondering what YOUR first changes were and when they started to happen? ..If you can remember.

So far, I have basically nothing after 1 week, as expected, but it'd be nice if it would go a bit faster...

I had an almost immediate psychological reaction.  I was very, very calm and mellow.  Nothing bothered me for the first couple of weeks.  After that is when the physical changes started to be noticeable, and I think it was about 6 and 10 weeks in that "new" things would be apparent.  YMMV, but the main thing is to have patience and let nature take its course.  Good luck!

Well, the only thing I've noticed is that the erections aren't what they used to be after only 7 days on a VERY low dose of Spiro and E.  I'd say 90% firmness compared to before? They're still coming, but not as hard... Is that TMI? probably, but I'm kind of surprised since I hear usually THAT take a few weeks to see an effect.

I'm not sure I'm more calm, as I was always a calm person. Things still piss me off easily, just like they used to before. Also haven't noticed the bathroom breaks as much. Maybe because the Spiro dose is so small? I started drinking more to combat the dehydration, but that just made me go to the bathroom. So, I cut back the drinking, and I'm back to normal. No random runs to lose liquid weight except when I drink.

MOds: if that's too much, please don't ban me, but I'll remove if necessary. Just sharing info...

Exactly what I had going on my 1st month, plus peeing a lot

I started in early December with subdermal E implants & progesterone shots

1 week - - happy, calm, excited

2 weeks - - buds behind areolas, decrease in morning erections, decrease in male libido, sensitive nipples

3 weeks - - emotional, tears of euphoria on demand, much more conversational, much more self conscious

4 weeks - - some facial fat redistribution, buds emanating outward, butt and upper thighs softer

5 weeks - - neck, waist, deltoids, arms losing mass, pores shrinking all over the body, morning erections gone

6 weeks - - face noticeably softer around nasolabial folds, butt looking puffier :)

7 weeks - - eyes visibly larger, face getting softer, breasts forming for real

8 weeks - - face taking a V shape, chin smaller, facial hair growing a lot slower = yaya!

I think the biggest change so far has been breast formation and facial softening. People I haven't seen in 2 months have been exclaiming how different my face and eyes look. Such a wonderful affirmation to hear.

I have been on T for two weeks and yesterday I was told that my voice had dropped. ;D
Which explains why my throat has been feeling kind of odd lately.  XD

So, i wish I could say it was my boobies but not it was not...

First thing I notice was that my face got rounder, the my skin got lighter and dry, the hair disappear from my chest arms and legs (good riddance). The my nipples got sore and puffy, then my ass got bigger..then my boobs got to an A...then I notice new hair where my hairline had been receding...now my boobs are a solid B and I got that little pouch under the belly button...LOL
