The Feather Awards - similar to the US's Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender awards - were held for the second year in Milner Park, Johannesburg.

The awards were devised as a tongue-in cheek, light-hearted celebration of individuals in the public eye who inspire the gay community.

Kotlolo said they were "completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and goodwill we received when we introduced these awards last year.
