No Such Thing as the "T" Word

I was something of a prude when I was a kid.  Growing up on Air Force bases surrounded by Schoolhouse Rock and PSA's, I was sure I knew right from wrong and that if anyone deviated from those rules they were just being bad.  As I grew up I slowly began to accept things I had previously shied away from, and my vocabulary changed a bit, too.  I started to understand that just because someone tells you not to do something doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing, perhaps just inappropriate for certain groups or audiences.  In fact, it's kind of funny; in my youth I was quite prudish, but now I tend to advocate only loose restrictions on speech and lifestyle.

Naturally all this made me curious when I saw a headline on cnn.com about Glee using the mysterious "T word."  So when I clicked on a link about Glee to find out exactly what the "T" word was, I was quite surprised.  For one, they censored it in the title and the article so it did take me a second to figure out what they were talking about.  Apparently GLAAD was in a little tizzy about the issue.  You know what the word was?  ->-bleeped-<-.
