Someone Please Give the Server a Xanax.
The Server's Stress is Stressing me Out.

lol !!  I work with servers and databases everyday .... will ask around and see if there is a way to boost its performance ...

safe to say that I've seen days where the server performance dropped so badly that I was banging my head the entire day!!! (for example when the power short circuit caused temporary problems with the servers... :eusa_wall: :eusa_wall: :eusa_wall: )

Not sure what problems you are having.  I am in the forum now and I check on chat.  All are working fine.  Maybe something on your end.

Hope it gets better.

I've done some poking around. Lesser used search functions appear to...not be functioning. Post count, updated topics and some profiles.

I'd say it's a stop-gap programmed into the forums themselves; shut down nonessential areas of the site to allow the gist of it to keep running. Without seeing the exact stress levels, however, there's no way to be certain.

ya .. i've noticed that too ... the "Show new replies to your posts." options is one of the things that seems to have stopped working...

most programmers have a habit of putting such fail-safes into the software to keep basic stuff running .. so could be a stop-gap to a bigger problem or just a minor issue...  :-\
