Yeah i wanted to make this fourm to point out some silly mistakes i have heard in music that i think most people could share a few mistakes the same they have made, some songs to me had meaning about the GLBT community with out me reasliseing i just mis heard the music so for years i believed that there was messages in songs that wasn't there.

example in the Beatles song get back, the first line jo-jo was a man who thought he was a loner, i use to think he was saying jo-jo was a man who thought he was a women XD

and in purple haze were jimi Hendrix singe excuse me while i kiss the sky / i thought he said excuse me while i kiss this guy XD

those are the only two i can think of off the top of my head but i know there was more.

I thought that about the song "Get Back" at first also until I had to learn the song for gigs... But you may have also noticed the lyrics in the third verse...

"Sweet Loretta Martin, thought she was a woman but she was another man
All the girls around her, say "she's got it coming", but she gets it while she can"

So there is actually a mention about transpeople in the song, whether it's meant as a slur or not I've never been able to decide

I don't think so the Beatles especially Lennon was too much for peace and "letting it be" (that's right i threw in a reference to another song lol) I think it referring to Loretta martin more as a "->-bleeped-<-"(pardon the word but i mean it used correctly, as in transvestites that are committed and dedicated professionals in the pornographic industry) she gets it while she can, meaning she gets as much sex as she can while shes still young.

What im getting at is i think he is more or less showing appreciation to our ->-bleeped-<- sisters, in the same way he shows appreciation to hookers in his song Lady Madonna, I think thats why he added this verse to the song, get back  to were you once belonged, he is saying, go back to the sweet girl you use to be because later he says, get back home Loretta your mommas waiting for ya, wear your low neck sweater, wear your low neck sweater because you dont need to hide your adams apple, and your mothers waiting for ya, stop all the sexual things and make your momma proud again.
