Hey guys, I'm starting HRT tomorrow and I'm super freaking excited!

I'd just like some feedback on what kind of results I can expect with my bone structure, ect.

I'm a 22 year old MtF, I'm 5'5'' (165 cm) and I need to lose around 60 pounds (27 kilos). These pictures are pre electro/laser with about a one day beard.

So here are a couple of pictures, one from the front and one from the side.  I tried to have a neutral expression, but I've got this smart-ass smirk that I can't seem to get off my face.  ;D

Also, I'm going bald like crazy. Will the HRT help this much, or do I need to start thinking about a wig?

HRT should help stop you losing more hair, especially if your T gets reduced to very low levels. Some people get great regrowth. Guess you will need to see unfortunately.

Do you have a weight loss plan?

Personally I think you will get good results on your face. You don't have particularly strong features, like a big brow ridge and you have a cute nose. But results will vary and they take time so you will need to be patient.

I'm exited for you too!!

Get on that laser. It will probably work great for you (dark hair, light skin). But plan to be doing that for quite some time now. Electrolysis is much slower, more tedious, and expensive in the long run if you can get good results from laser.

Definitely let your hair grow out. You can probably do a lot with a better haircut. Also consider trying out some good shampoos. I've been using ridiculously expensive salon products and you know what? The work. Also, blow-drying makes your hair look much nicer, though long-term it can lead to some damage. Maybe you'll need transplants, but maybe you won't -- and see about getting on hair loss medication too. I doubt you'll need a wig.

Your face is clearly male, but I think that has to do mostly with the stubble and the hairline. Maybe your nose is a bit wide as seen from the front -- but it's very feminine for the side, as is your browline. Your chin isn't very prominent, which is usually one of the most difficult problems.

It might help to pluck those eyebrows -- in fact, consider waxing them (have it done by a professional) to get a more feminine shape; then you can keep them in shape by plucking. And you know what's really great about HRT? It really improves your complexion.

I hope it all goes better than you ever imagined!
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

Nothing too specific, I'm mainly just avoiding the obvious energy-dense stuff (fast food, liquid calories) and I'm alternating jogging and yoga.

That's not my usual hairstyle, I just swept it back to show my brow/hairline for the pictures.

I'm not full time right now, so I'm going to hold off on doing anything to dramatic with my eyebrows just yet.

I plan to look into laser early next year as I need to save up some money for it, but I have a home electrolysis kit I've messed around with.  It's tedious, but it's not overwhelmingly painful.  The real problem with it is I have trouble reaching all of the hairs.

Thanks for your feedback!

Yoga! Yay! Cardio needs to be done for more than 20 minutes a day to burn off glycogen stores as far as I know. Crow pose will help your hips!

Try a low glycemic diet, and just stick with it. It's nothing extreme, as it's simply a way to stay full for longer by avoiding things like sugars and foods with a high glycemic index, which your body will digest faster, leaving you hungry more often. Do some research on it; the diet's much easier than you might think, and you'll find that your food choices don't have to be altered a great deal. Try to count calories too, and keep up the exercise, which will compound the effects of your diet. Remember, a diet should not make you tired.

You are young, you are short (I wish I were short like you), and you seem to know what you want. All very positive things.
