Is this an OK way to flatten my chest?

Is it OK to use the back of my arms, to push on my chest to try and make it flat? It seems to work at least a little. I have a pretty small chest. Small enough that I don't need to bind and look completely flat in a button down shirt. And I need to wear a men's undershirt to look flat in a T-shirt. And the pushing seems to make it look smaller after I do it.

Lately my chest seems a little bigger. I think I am retaining water because of the Depo Provera shot. And that's why my chest is looking bigger. I think the pushing helps maybe move the retention somewhere else? Or maybe it just flattens me in general? I don't know. It just seems to work.

So is it OK to do that? I usually do it for like three minutes at a time a couple of times a day. That can't cause any problems with my lungs right? I don't think it can, but I just want to make sure. And I'm like 99.9% percent sure it won't cause any problems pushing somewhat hard right above my heart, right?

If there's no problem with doing it how I do it, could I also up my time per day?

For what it's worth, I used to do this when I was younger, like 12, and never had any problems then.

Thanks guys.

P.S. Anyone else do this?

You're totally fine--the lung problems come with wearing very tight compression shirts day after day, hours at a time, for years.  However, if you're looking for long-term chest size reduction I don't think this method will do it--the reduction you see afterwards is probably just a temporary compression of the tissue there that will expand back to normal size afterwards.  Think about when you wrap something really tightly around your finger and then unwrap it--you may still see the indentation of the string, but after a little bit it returns to normal size.  However if you're having good luck with this, that would be awesome!  Full speed ahead!
