I've noticed something strange happening as I get closer to obtaining T (I'm having a consult in January). I keep having sensations of being on hormones when I'm not. My skin is getting more man-like (which isn't in my head, it's been commented on), my smile is turning into a maleish lopsided grin, I'm walking more like a man, my voice is naturally progressing lower, my sex drive has skyrocketed, and I swear that the hair on my legs has suddenly gotten thicker. I realize that most of this is probably in my head, but it's pretty cool. XD

Anyway, has anyone else here had the same thing happen to them?

Have your diet and exercise remained the same?
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

It's basically the same. I've been drinking a lot more water and a lot less soda though...

Interesting. Maybe it's a psychological thing? Like, you start wanting to be on T so badly, or you're imagining being on T so much, that you're actually producing more T.

I've been exercising a lot more, in an attempt to raise my T level, and so far, I think it's working. You can actually see my stomach hairs now, they're dark brown, and my little trail is coming along nicely. Not to mention I just feel better in general. So, if you haven't been exercising on a regular basis, I definitely suggest it.

That's really great! It motivates me more to exercise... I've already got a pretty dark treasure trail that I'm proud of, but more dark hair is never a bad thing. I'm slowly easing myself into better eating habits and exercise programs, but I'm having trouble finding workouts that entertain me enough to stick to...But maybe if I think about having more T, it'll motivate me more...

You know, I thought I was the only one. XD That's happened to me before when I have been in a state of "I need testosterone NOW", basically where I imagine it's there when it's really not. Though during those times, my skin gets more guy-like, and same as you, has been commented on. I get all of those things.
Lol. Maybe I'm just really impatient?

I noticed that with me, too. Really, between first coming out and getting this close to having testosterone, I'm noticeably more masculine in mannerisms, voice, and physical appearance. I have video proof. And once I figure out how to edit it, I'll post it here, because I think people will find it interesting.

That would be really cool to see...Maybe it's not all in my head like I thought it was then.

Glad I'm not crazy alone. XD

Hahaha, I thought I was going insane!  I started exercising regularly soon after I started identifying as transmasculine (previously had identified as genderqueer) and noticed similar changes, like hair filling in on the back of my calves and a definite drop in voice (accompanied by the appearance of a visible Adam's apple).  I assumed that the exercise was increasing my natural T level, but I wonder if any of it could be psychological, not in the sense that it's all imagined (which I admit is certainly likely) but, rather, that there might be a feedback mechanism in action. . .

I've got the video up now on the ftm board... maybe some of it is mental, but you can confirm for me if there's as big a difference as I think there is. Interesting how many people this happens to... I wonder what the cause could be?
