Stephanie, I never realized you were greek too. Thanks for the wishes. Britney , even if I do find my wedding dress today, I wont be able to show it till the wedding pics are out in April. Im an old fashioned type girl , and believe it is bad luck to show before the wedding. I hope you dont hold this against me little sister . I promise that as soon as the wedding pics are developed sometime in April, Ill put it up here. Only 2 more hours till the stores open now,  and ill be off searching again, lol.

Success today !!!!!  Ive found a knockout dress, it really shows off my figure. The store owner offered to hold it for me till April, so that I have it then. I just had to only pay a down payment for now. Not even Michael will see it till the wedding.

Thanks for the compliment, but I have a long way to go.  My forehead is way to masculine and my hair, well, hopefully next year I can raise the money for a hair transplant.  Yesterday, I went to the bank and the representative, a woman, called me by male pronouns, even though she saw that my name is Sarah and that I was wearing a female blouse.  I had to correct her. One day....  I keep pushing forward.

You on the other hand look like a cis-gendered female, even the forehead.  You must have transitioned very early.  That is very good.

If you do not mind me asking you a personal question, but did the two of you talk about having children one day?  Will you just be a couple without kids or do you guys want to adopt?  Do adoption agencies allow for adoption, when the woman is a transsexual, although I presume that since you pass quite well and you obviously changed your birth certificate, then there is no reason that they should ever know.

Sarahla, Im post op nearly 4 years now, but I started transitioning more than 15 years ago. As for adoption, we are both undecided yet, but its an option.

My sister got married in red, due to the strong Celtic heritage in our family. I'll be following that tradition and getting married in red as well - my bridesmaids can wear white.
Added bonus of spilling food and drink on my dress at the wedding without destroying it

Ah, righto. Hadn't heard that superstition before. I only know the one about the groom not seeing the bride before the ceremony.

I've heard of that. It does tend to vary, depending upon region and individual.

When we got married, my wife didn't want to see me for 24 hours. I started to imagine her voice, telling me not to do this, or asking if I'd done that.

The last few moments in the church were an eternity. When she finally came in, she was the most beautiful sight I'd ever seen.

I kept wanting to laugh at the altar. Looking at her, with her huge brown eyes digging into to me.

I finally found the time and got up the courage to read this thread.  I am SO happy for you!  And when I read you first post, I went "OMG!" - because  your wedding date happens to be on my birthday - it'll be #55 this year.  I will drink a special toast to you on that day.  And I concur with others on this thread - looking at your avatar picture, you are GORGEOUS, and Michael is a HUNK!  You two look made for each other.  I wish you all the best for your life together, and love and happiness always.

Today  was 1 of the best days of my life. Michael announced that he got a raise at his job at the hotel ,  where he is a cook.   He told me that if I want, we now have enough money, if I want to  quit my job, and be a stay at  home girl !!    I decided that instead of quitting my job, Id just work 3 days a week, so I dont miss my pension in 10-12 years from now. I didnt think my boss at the bank would accept, but he said ok !!!! My work week starting next week will be only Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays.
