If it isn't clear to you that the pop tart singer Ke$ha is not walking the walk of being a trans ally, then peep this lyric from her latest song 'Grow A Pear'

    You should know
    That I love you alone
But I just can't date a dude with a vag

Really?    You just lost major cool points with the transman community with that one., and with the transwoman community and our allies as well.

I wasn't aware that she had any major cool points with anyone.  Her new tour is called 'Get Sleazy!' and pretty much she's just a girl rapping like a white frat boy.

Eh, I like her stuff, at least some of it.

I file her lyrics under "best not to overthink it, just dance" and go on with my day.

And even if she is literally sending a message that she doesn't want to date transmen, isn't that just a personal preference? I find transmen hot as hell, but that doesn't mean she has to.

She tends to rap - as opposed to sing - the lyrics, but the style of music she does is not rap (there really is no rap music, what you're thinking of is hip-hop) it's contemporary dance stuff.

I listen to rap and like a lot of it. I find that most rappers will clearly say whats on their mind where as with other types of music the point will be vague. I'm not a fan of her music but hey if that's what she feels whatever. Besides have you listened to her other lyrics? I think some of the time she just randomly rhymes and the lyrics aren't quite as important. Those lyrics don't offend me.

Truthfully, how many songs has she written? How many lines of lyrics has she said? This one line gets a lot of controversy but I feel like sometimes music is getting picked apart and over thought where as the writer probably just wrote it and didn't think about it much. No offense meant to the writer of the article though. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Wow....

There are no words for the offensiveness of this song. I had to listen to it just to see what all the fuss was, and I'm blown away by the idiocy. I never liked her anyways, I found one of her songs marginally catchy but this just makes me mad to no end.
