I say "also" because AugustFalcon posted a topic similar to this and I kind of thought it'd be a tad rude to post a comment stating: "I don't know what you could do with your hair, but I need hair help as well!" ^^;;

Anywho- I need hair advice. I need to get a new haircut, but whenever I do, it never comes out the way I want it to the next day. That, and it takes forever for me to decide what type of hairdo I want. *points to profile picture* Thats the haircut I have now. What hairstyles do you guys think would fit me most? Also, what are some good hair products to make hair spikey-ish?

I will try giving more photos if I can.

Thanks,
Adrian D.

your hair is too full on top?
I really envy girls women who have thick hair that can be piled high or is naturally curly.
If you can afford monthly thinnings on top it would help or let it grow longer to cover the ears and cover the femaleness might help.
but then that top you're wearing shouts female too.   try male shirts with collars or such.

Have you tried parting it on the side?  Women generally seem to part their hair higher than men too, so that could help as well.
I'd suggest having it thinned out a bit on the sides as well as the top.
Have you tried showing your hairdresser a photo of what you would like? (Maybe a old-style barber would be better than a hairdresser too. )

Thinner on top and the sides.  If you want to hawk your hair keep the top longer than the sides but give it some texture variance.  A little cleaner on the back, put a bit of hair in front of the ears, investing in a trimmer is a good idea.

J-list.com has a wonderful selection of male hair products that work wonders called Gatsby.  It's for a reasonable price, the amount of product you get seems pathetically small, but you need so little it lasts a long time.  The site also has tutorials on how to use each product, it's in Japanese, but you can still see what's happening, and there are plenty of descriptions in the product details (in English).  There are also youtube tutorials on how to use gatsby, almost all by Asian guys or cosplayers so the hair styles might be different from what you want, but it gives you a good idea of how to use the stuff.
