I'm still cis-male almost everywhere, so a couple of weeks ago when I was at a Gender Journeys session (and presenting as female, of course), during a discussion one of the other participants was speaking to someone and referring to me, and saying "Her" and "She", and... I guess this was pretty much the first time I'd had that happen, and it was initially sort of confusing, then it felt great! More recently, at the company Christmas Potluck and gift exchange, presenting as Male, there was someone else in the room whose name is Colleen (she's from another office, so I don't hear that name around the office generally), and she was sitting near me. A couple of times, someone would say "Oh, Colleen...", or refer to Colleen while gesturing in her (my) direction - I had to specifically avoid reacting, and it was hard...
