neo vagina skin?

so i was looking at pics of neo vaginas on some srs sites and i was comparing them to natural vaginas, everthing stucture, skin, labia, everything. I noticed that the neo vaginas look well constructed but they skin is kinda off putting. These were vaginas that were healed and everything but i noticed that the skin looks exactly like penis skin, well it is but that seems kinda like a give away. They didnt look like the natural vaginas, which had pink skin like the kind inside of your mouth. The labia and stuff all looked like penis skin especially the patients with darker skin, it had the look and the same like wrinkles as a penis and stuff. Is this normal, is this like usually how the results come out?

brassard tends to avoid that labia wise, but overall, that's the result of skin grafts, there are ways to avoid the look, but it depends on surgeon to use mucosa in their tech (especially in vaginal vestible).

just requires realistic expectations in outcome and a little bit of "good enough" attitude.

Dr Suporn used the prepuce (foreskin) to create my inner labia and as such, they are pink on the inside, just as prepuce skin is pink on the inside.
Aside from being a little swollen, my vagina looks perfectly natural.
What are you using as your source of comparison? Because I've seen a huge diversity of cis women's lady parts and some look quite 'penile' if I understand your descriptions correctly.
FYI, you appear to be taking about the appearance of the vulva, rather than the vagina.

Well it was the whole thing as i said before, most of them looked brown and wrinkly like penis skin. Can u please explain how lady parts look penile? and if not mistaken vaginas refer to everything as a whole including the internal organs so maybe we should just call them vulvas hehe

Vulvas look 'penile' because they are exactly the same tissue in a different configuration. Labia are made of the same tissue as scrotal and penile skin. To cut a long story short, during gestation (pregnancy) the same cells change configuration and size to fit the phenotype of XY or XX genitalia.
If you look at the first picture on this page, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulva you can clearly see how wrinkly and 'penile' looking the labia skin looks. The skin on the outer labia also looks slightly 'scrotal' with the 'chicken skin' appearance.
What pictures of cis (natal) vaginas have you been looking at? Porn sites?

P.S. The 'vulva' is the external genitalia of a woman, the 'vagina' is the interior genitalia (i.e. the canal).

I used to be afraid of this before i had SRS and quite frankly...i dont think the photos do the results much justice...because i think every surgeon does it differently.

I remember some people in a thread touching on the idea that as the body regenerates itself over years the tissue becomes more like what you'd find in a natal female. Obviously the skin is going to look a bit like a patchwork penis quilt to begin with as that is the tissue used. It's hard to say as the pictures you mention have very little info with them and my words are only 50/50 ...  if anyone has read about this and can expand on that point then awesome.
I believe the body every seven years regenerates every cell so basically we are a completely "different" person every seven years. That period of regeneration under the new hormones helps to make the tissue to appear more feminine (and vice versa).. from my understanding.. (could be wrong) :P

I cannot remember where, but I read about a lesbian transsexual woman who had bought a small camera and inspected her and her partner's vagina, and she wrote that they had not seen a difference at all, except that hers had no uterus at the end.

Do not worry about it, I guess, then.

Well I had to go find a mirror LOL!

I had SRS in 1974 and I am most definitely PINK (well more red than the inside of my mouth) between the lips and the skin is very smooth and soft.

Had a visit with my regular doctor today and he got to have a look at my fancy new vagina (he's never seen a trans vadge before, so was quite curious).
His initial reaction was 'Wow' followed by 'I would have no idea if I didn't know'.
And this is only 1 month post op.
So I think we can safely lay this thread to rest.

The problem with looking at pics 'supplied' by the 'known' surgeons sites...

Is they are generally early on..... like within a few months of the main op.... and tend to be limited to just a few....

I can assure you things look very different 10, 20 years on....

But then pics of girls bits many years on.... never filter out. do they... and why would they if you think about it?

Flipping right Cruella

If someone wants to see my bits, they have to at least buy me a fancy dinner first... ;) I'm a woman not a free medical exhibit.  ;D

Actually, at least one of the pics on Chet's site is three years post-op.

3 years is very little time....

I'm still getting changes now.... bodies in fact continually change.... as we are not 'fixed' static beings...

(think dancing fountains)

As so we really are very different physically every 7 - 8 years or so.... for complete cellular level 100% make over....

Really? I'm one month post-op and it already looks amazing. If you need to wait 10 years for a result...

*If you need to wait 10 years for a result...*

In a rather masculine linear way you are choosing to misinterpret what I state...  :-\

As I stated earlier: penis skin and vulva skin are more alike than they are dissimilar. It's the same tissues in a slightly different configuration.

And what's wrong with that??!!  :icon_twisted:

Most of the GGs I have known have done exactly that at some point in their lives!
