The cost?

Alrighty. Though it is FAR from time for me to have sex reassignment surgery, I was thinking a lot about cost. I probably have mentioned this once in my other post but I am wondering about cost and want to find out more about it all. I know that the cheapest you can  get for top surgery is $5,000. I will probably be able to afford it if I work hard and save up. But bottom surgery is my main concern (and I'm aware that I've asked quite a lot of questions regarding this as well). I know the results aren't promising. Not only that, but I don't know if I'll EVER be able to save up for it! I was hoping I'd find out more (what the results look like, etc.) on transbucket, but I realized you needed to have an account to get into the site at all and I'd rather not sign up just for so many personal reasons. I keep hoping the day for surgery will come. But first I need a therapist. That is a whole other issue though. My main concern like I said is the cost for bottom surgery. Will surgeries ever become cheaper? Or possibly covered by insurance? Can anyone give me some more info about this (cost, results, pain level, etc)? Really appreciate it.

You can find pics of lower surgery results on many surgeons' websites.  I know Dr. Miro has some and Dr. Bowers has some. Your best bet is to just sign up for transbucket, though, if you want to see pics.

And, FWIW, lower surgery results ARE promising. No, they won't guarantee you a 6" erect fully functional penis and balls that work like the real thing.  BUT, a meta will get you a decent micorpenis that functions like the real thing, and many cis-men are born with those.  Or, phallo will get you the size you want, though implants may be necessary for sexual function.  Interestingly phallo discussions happen amongst cis-men with micropenises as well.

My lower surgery cost approx. $17,000 including airfare and living expenses.  Would I like more size?  Sure.  But I am thrilled beyond belief that I have a dick that works.

Dear Jay,
I was so relieved by your story. $17,000? I htought it was like $50,000! And I KNOW I would never be able to afford that, but $17,000 is much more reasonable! I am wondering, who/where did you go to for your bottom surgery? How was the pain level (I heard it can be quite bad, and though however much pain I need to go through to become who I am, it is worth it, but I would still like to know and be prepared)? And by function, you mean pee through and all? Last but not least. Does it give an appreciable bulge? Thank you so much. You have given me hope I never thought I would have!

OH and the healing time? Thanks again man.

And sorry if my question was too personal or awkward. I didn't know about the meta. You can PM me if it makes it easier..
