after 4 appointments with two gender specialists that spanned over a year, i've finally gotten my T letter! i was really worried that i'd have to wait until i turn 18 to start T, because initially the first specialist i saw was hesitant to get me on hormones without having both of my parents being okay with my transition, and then when i started seeing the other doctor he works with, she was all for getting me on hormones right away.

however, she said she'd only fax the papers over to my pharmacy and clinic in around 2 weeks, which gives me enough time to prepare my parents haha

so i should get my first shot of T in mid january! i think that's bloody flipping fantastic, even if my dad's going to be super pissed haha

anybody else have any really good news in regards to transition or hormones?

Awesome! I start T in Jan too, actually in 11 days. :3

I still haven't told my parents either, but I'm 27 so I'm not exactly in a rush to.

@Shayne - that's great! i start between the second and third week

@Tad - is it one of those, i'm-waiting-for-the-doc-to-call-and-make-an-appointment situations?

it`s one of those, i`ve been referred to the endo, and it takes between a month or 2 to get in to see them. So yeah waiting, and the endo is a 5 hour drive fun times.

That' awesome!

I'm hoping to start T soon too. I have my consultation Dec. 28th. I hope I can get on T soon after the appointment. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.  I hope they don't require certain checkups to the doctors in order to get on T.
