What is it about me and December 25th?

Almost every blooming year I go down with flu just before the date.

2009 was an exception because I got it in July, it was the new swine-flu so I think I was booking early to avoid disappointment but this year I am back to form. 23rd Dec and BAM - laid up and immobile. Even typing is an effort right now, so I apologise if I chew someones head off unfairly.

Why? It's almost as though I am allergic to xmas! Does anyone else have this?

I'm sorry Jenny, I hope you start feeling better soon

Echinacea and hot toddys.  Annual flu shot.  Alcoholic eggnog.

Aww sorry to hear that hon. Try the eggnog Janet suggested.
Get better!

Just to say thanks to everyone who sent best wishes. Fortunately it was women flu and not man flu - so it didn't last long.

Felt ghastly on the 23rd and 24th but woke up on the 25th feeling fine - only legacy is feeling a bit less energetic than usual and a hideous cough - but otherwise AOK.  :)

It's the dreaded Komodo dragon flu...it could have been a whole lot worse
