Effects of detransitioning?

If a MtF had been taking HRT for 6-12 months, and then decided to detransition, or otherwise couldn't afford/be able to continue HRT and had to stop, what changes would occur?

I've heard that if a man takes high testosterone doses over a period of time and suddenly stops, his body will stop naturally producing testosterone, or will produce very little of it. Is it the same in this case, but the body can no longer naturally produce estrogen instead? I've also heard that it will trigger a second male puberty, among other things.

I know that breast tissue will stay and other changes won't go away, but I wanted some insight into the results of halting HRT after 6-12 months.

I know these sorts of things can very between people, but, I'd like any information I can get.

age, health, original body size and shape, diet, exercise. etc all might have a bearing on how much reversal will occur.
only way to find out is try it.

I'd have to say the most dramatic effects one would feel (if you're TS) is similar to what a prisoner of war who had escaped from the POW camp and got caught and thrown back in.  And then was tortured.

As far as physical effects, it depends on your genetics but I'd guess once you stopped HRT things would eventually go back to normal, as far as hormone production goes.  As far as physical changes from HRT, rule of thumb is if it grows, it usually stays.

Breast development immediately stops and your breasts deflate to a certain degree. Your body will produce testosterone again over the course of several weeks and you will function as a normal male. Only permanent difference from before you started HRT is that you'll likely have breasts and possibly be sterile. This is assuming that you're past puberty.

If there was any fat distribution, it will revert to a male pattern over time and your appearance will revert back to a pre-HRT state. Eventually, you'll revert back to your normal male self except the two permanent changes outlined above.

Any facial hair that's been killed by electrolysis will remain destroyed. However depending on your age T might create new facial hairs. Your testis might have impaired function and your T level will be lower than normal.

your body hair and appearance would return to a masculine appearance. with male musculature Pre-transition (assuming no FFS) your body fat and muscle would return to male norms.

If you were suffering male pattern baldness you would experience it at an accelerated rate as your body "catches up" with what it would have been if you'd never had HRT.

After 6-12 months you should assume your irreversibly sterile. you might recover some fertility but it's likely to be much lower than an average male.

Your breast tissue would largely remain however they will loose some definition and become saggy through atrophy.
