The doctor has told me that if I took my prescribed T it would help with some of the memory problems I experience (he doesn't know about my gender issues).  Have any of you that are on anti-androgens experienced increased forgetfullness or confusion?  I'm not on any hormones at the moment - I don't know if E would help with memory problems or not (my T level may be lower than natural for females, I don't know).

Estrogen will definitely help. Memory loss is a well known side effect of the menopause in some women and it also occurs in transitioners if your levels drop too low.

Thanks Jenny!  Another reason for starting E.  I've also noticed that within the past few months my skin is healing much slower and is dry.  Although I have to deal with aging, I'm hoping E will improve my skin, which is naturally dry especially with my low Thyroid condition.

My mind is much sharper and less confused than when I was filled with T.
The whole thinking-about-sex-every-three-seconds thing was super distracting; I have much more clarity and continuity of thought now.

,E will definitely soften and moisturized your dry skin :D

Actually it might make it worse On the skin front for you.

Testosterone stimulates sebaceous glands hence why men are more prone to acne than women. But this also manifests in oilier skin.
going on T blockers and E will make your skin even drier.

Not only that you body will probably heal slower as T is a steroid it thickens your skin and also encourages it to heal, on E your skin is likely to become thinner and more fragile.

It was a big benefit to me. as I had really greasy hair and infected swollen facial hair follicles too.

And it did cause temporary fuzzy headedness and sluggish mental reactions but this was temporary once my body got used to it after a week it wore off.

,anyway , i read from one post here that . .taking E without T or taking T without E is just like pushing a car on both side. .both E and T need each other for a better result . .

So would you say you are less libidinous now? Or is it that you're just thinking about sex less?

Nicksy, If you take an antiandrogen without taking Estrogen it can lead to bone density problems. Anyone who has very low hormone levels is in danger of losing bone density-that is one reason why it is so important to have your hormone levels monitored.

As far as being forgetful, before I got on Estrogen I was a scatterbrained basket-case. After that I was fine and my skin is dryer now so I use moisturizers every day.

That's what happened to me.  I did not take my T as prescribed, which has resulted in severe osteoporosis.  I can't absorb calcium very well without hormones, so I'm thinking I really need to be on E.  If it makes me feel better than being on T, I think that will be an additional confirmation for what path I need to be traveling.
