I'm a senior in Highschool and we all know how kids can be. So today at school was my first day binding.  What was your first day like binding?

I'm also a senior in high school who started binding this year. :3 Except I started binding the first day of school, because I'd had enough of feeling uncomfortable all day. It went a lot better than I thought. Everyone has failed to notice, and I feel better. I refuse to go to school without it now.

I'm a senior in college and just started binding during this school year.  I was worried that people would ask me questions about it, because people noticed and commented when I stopped wearing bras a year before, so I didn't start binding until I came up with a one line answer that I could pull out if anything came up.  The first time I spent a whole day binding, I was so worried that people would ask me about it and I'd have to explain, but, to date, no one's said anything, even though I don't bind consistently.  Also, that first day was painful!  I've since learned a few tricks to make binding more comfortable.  q-:

I started it sometime last semester, freshman in college.  Nobody noticed though since I'm so small anyway.  I didn't think they would notice, and even binding was more for me than them anyway. I did ask a friend how I looked and they just said it looked like I had pecs.  I was like "Works for me." and nobody has noticed anything.

I started binding about a year ago. It was the greatest feeling. I'm very used to wearing my binder now...it feels extremely wierd when I don't. I really don't think anyone noticed.....except my grandma...who told me I should really get some padded bras! LOL.

Your reply just made my day.  I have been binding for a week or so now and the only person who has noticed is my friend mikey who is one of the two people i've told i'm ftm.

Yeah, it seems like people either don't notice or don't care enough to bring it up.  Either way, it's nice knowing I can wear my binder to class, around friends, and while visiting my family and not worry about it.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

the only person to ever notice that i'm wearing a binder was someone who hugged me and felt the weird mesh type stuff at the back as well as the pressure in the chest area.

so i guess just don't hug people if you're worried about them finding out.

My first day binding was awesome, and terrible.
Got the 997, took FOREVER to get it on. Needed to get my girlfriend to help.
Panicked like hell thinking I was going to get stuck and not be able to breathe.
Felt amazing walking around with a beautiful flat chest.
But didn't last long. My body wasn't ok with being crushed :P

Realistically I have been binding my entire life .. the only time I wore regular bras was when I lived at home and my parents were buying them.  In college I discovered sports bra's and wore them ever since.  I always got them small....without realizing I was trans ... I wanted to concel my tumors.

I started with a real binder a year ago...now I can't imagine not wearing one.  No one has noticed -- my partner says she can't tell the difference between my binder and sports bras --- but I can.  I feel so much better. I immediately felt better about myself.  I also get called man & sir alot more wearing a binder.
