So yeah, I'm unemployed and poor as dirt like many Americans. This sucks by itself, but unfortunately I also have a large chest XP. I have been "gifted" with D-cups @_@. So when it came to binders, I started to do some research. I saw many cost effective measures for me to bind safely, but ultimately I saw none of these options for me. I didn't know what size I would need, I didn't feel comfortable asking for charity, and I just felt that there were guys that were more needy than me of these services. I mean, I can sew, and I knew exactly what I needed. So that's when I decided to make my own binder! All it cost me was two Nutella Sandwiches :'D!
It all happened around Christmas time, like all other good things :'D. I noticed my boyfriend was wearing a special apron to work that they issued him. I inspected the material and sturdiness. I mentioned how it would be perfect for me to make a binder. He said since they give these things out like napkins at work he'd get me two :'P. I obviously did not complain :'D. So that's how it cost me the Nutella sandwiches :'P.
As soon as I had them, I began to cut, sew, and just flat out mutilate these things for my binder. Since I'm allergic to most natural rubbers, I decided to save myself the trouble of dealing with elastic. How do you make a binder with no elastic? Simple, I used the straps on the aprons to make it so it laces up like a cosette :'P. I don't have to worry about it loosening up, and it works great at flattening my large chest. The material (drill cotton) breathes, so I hardly sweat. It doesn't constrict my breathing, which is great since I'm asthmatic and already have trouble breathing a lot of the time! It's bad enough where bras that are too tight have actually caused me to stop breathing @_@.
So I ask, how many of you make your own binders or have them custom made by friends/family/random people on the internet/ect?
