Ah, right.  I forgot all about that.  I haven't been around a Wii in a while :p.  Well that takes care of the N64 controller problem, but it's kinda annoying to have to buy a ton of controllers for the system.  It comes with a Wiimote, but then you need a Nunchuck, then a classic controller or a GC controller, SD Card, then another Wiimote and Nunchunk and Classic Controller or GC controller for 2+ players and it just adds up :/.  That's why I like traditional controllers.  You buy 1, you use it for everything unless you want multiplayer.  That makes more sense.

I do completely agree with you — so many controllers and so many wires! The technology for the Wii is such a nice idea, but there just aren't that many games that utilize it correctly. When it's used properly, it really does work quite well, but there are so many otherwise decent games pretty much ruined by unnecessary motion controls that feel shoehorned in.

Ooh, I also hate how the classic controllers have to be plugged into the Wiimote! It's such an utterly ridiculous system and feels so awkward. I get that not everybody likes wires, but why could there not be an option to have it plug directly into the Wii? Would certainly save me a fair few batteries...

Just thought I'd throw my opinion on here. I have a Wii and I think it is lame. The motion control is annoying, I don't like the layout of the controller, and I'm not the biggest nintendo gamer out there. But the Kinect is badass. There aren't a ton of games out yet but there will be eventually and how accurately it tracks motion is eerie.

It is a unique idea, but I just don't want it anymore at all.  I wish the fad would hurry and leave.  The Kinect won't work.  I'm sure it's fun for some games, but I've seen youtube videos of people hacking it and setting it to run with like, Super Mario Brothers and it just doesn't work.  A console needs to try it's best to work with everything (and without 3,000 controllers and bits to buy for it).  I'm sure if there were better games for the Wii/Move/Kinect, they'd be better, but the whole motion sensing thing ruins it.  The Kinect is being brave and all, but meh.  I would rather use a joystick and a button to fire and shoot rather than holding an invisible gun and having to "shoot" with my fingers.  That's annoying and tiring.

The fad is warping the idea of gamers too.  If you go to Target's website and look at Video Games, underneath it says, "A fun way to get fit." :l

agreed. Even House of the Dead wasn't very good on wii. It had potential to be great.
I love my xbox but i won't be getting a Kinect.
I don't mind playing the odd game by motion sensor, but not on my own. Probably just with a few friends having a drink.
I like that the systems are out there though, I've been thinking about building an arcade machine and the options are endless now!

newest game - Well, most recent purchase was Ogre Battle 64, but the newest release game I have is Assassins Creed Brotherhood collectors edition
console - Overall is the PS3 I think, I use it the most at least, what with the blu ray and all..but I've been massively into the Nintendo 64 lately -- also own PS2, PSP, DS, Wii, 360, Xbox, NES, SNES, GBC, Dreamcast... And I think that's it..

New Vegas has the same engine, and largely the same system, the main plus point I found was the new way to deal with companions. For the rest it feels like I woke up in a slightly larger but also enjoyable expansion of F3 with refurbished animations and new grab to wear. After finishing it however I have decided to pack my giant backpacks again (damn that tent), grab my new robo rex and head back to the wonderful wastelands around  the DC ruins. I feel most at home there ...
