Some of my Facebook status updates from this week:

Our Papa, Who art a Bear, Hallowed be thy fame. Thy championship come,
Thy play be run, At home as it is away. Give us this day our Sunday win,
And forgive us our turnovers. Though we pounce on those who turnover against us, And lead us not into fourth and long, But deliever us from Rodgers. In the name of Ditka, Butkus and the Holy Payton. As it was in 1985, so shall it be in 2011, reign without end. DA BEARS!

**WARNING** The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Green Bay, WI and surrounding areas for Sunday the 23rd of January. This warning will be in effect from 1pm until 5pm. This flash flood will be caused by the tears of the Packer Fans as they watch their crazy Superbowl dreams fade away. Crying will intensify as the game goes on!!!!!!

A Seahawks fan, a Packers fan and a Bears fan are climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves his team more. The Seahawks fan insists he is the most loyal. "This is for the Seahawks!" he yells, and jumps off the side of the mountain. Not to be outdone, the Bears fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells.."This is for the Bears!" and pushes the Packer fan off the mountain! Bear Down people!!

You gotta remember the Jets already played Pitt in their home and beat them.  Jets might be the best road team this year.  I think there's only been one other team to take out Manning and Brady back to back.  Ole Rex has some magic going.  If he does his homework as well as he did for NE, we could see the Jets playing in February.  But if it's up to the QBs, Big Ben will take Pitt to the winners circle.

What I hate about the Bears is there's always the question, "Who is going to show up today?"  And I think that's part of why they get no respect.  They had the toughest last four games in the league and came away 2-2 and one of those wins was against the Jets.

Their defense held up well in Lambeau a few weeks ago but their offense was useless.  And then there's the earlier game when the Bears were struggling yet they beat the Pack at Soldier Field.  Both QBs are talented.  And both struggle if their front line doesn't protect them.  Both have great defenses but the Pack has the superstar element with Matthews and Woodson and both have been playing great.  The game will be decided on either a big play or big turnover.

As far as home field advantage, if they Bears play poorly, the Boo Bears make it a disadvantage being at Soldier Field.

The Jets are road warriors. They seems to play much better on the road than at home. As for the Bear-Packer game, I like the Packers.

Well, watched the pre-game show and the Packers VS Bears game is about to start...
The excitement is mounting

Two young, talented QBs leading their teams in the oldest rivalry in NFL history...

Should be a good one  ;D

Yeah, this should be the bomb, second game not shaping up as shabby either.

I have to take the Packers.  I don't care for Da Bears.

Well it's half time and the Pack has been having their way with Da' Bears 14-Zippity do dah

2nd half about to begin... Will Da' Bears come out of hibernation? Or will the Pack box them up and put them away for the season?

Looks like the 'other' Jay Cutler showed up today, the ones the Broncos traded away, now I remember why.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Now that was a game of twister... First Cutler went out with a gimpy knee, then his back up Collins couldn't swizzle his coffee... So who steps up to put points on the board? The 3rd stringer Hanie

Unfortunately for Da' Bears Hanie also got intercepted twice so the Packers walk away with
a 21-14 win and will meet ? at the Super Bowl

Brace yourselves for game 2 of the day as Sanchez and the Jets takes on Big Ben in Pittsburgh

LOL ! I'm a die hard BEAR fan, but I still take it in stride ! The only reason this one hurt so much was because it was the Pack !
All I can say now for all us Chicago fans is GO BLACKHAWKS !

Pittsburgh game just ended, it's Pitt and Packer for the super bowl GO PITTSBURGH !!

My home team loyalty had to pick the Bears but my heart of hearts told me the Pack was going to Dallas.  But I was beginning to believe the bad Rex Jay was gone now that papa Martz was there to guide him.  But to fake a sprained knee?  ::)  When Caleb went in, Julie declared he'd pull them out and she was almost right but you can't win championship games by playing well in only one quarter.

I knew the Jets going would be tough, beating three top teams on the road in a row.  But I was shocked when the score moved to 24-0.  I wondered if Rex Ryan had been replaced by Abe Gibron.  Then the Jets try to pull a Bears type comeback, and just like the Bears, they fall short.  Too bad.  Imagining the Pack and the Jets playing in the Super Bowl seemed like a lot more fun than Pitt being there.  New blood.  Besides, I don't care for Ben the Molester.  He's a Neanderthal.

I may lose my birthright in Chicago but I'm rooting for the Pack to raise the Lombardi trophy.

A lot of people wanted the Packer and the Jets. would have been great for me since I like both teams. Still would root for Jets. If the Packers had won I wouldn't feel so bad.

Julie you won't lose your birth right ! We'll still keep you around ! The only reason I'm root'in for the Steelers is that's where DAD is from, and half the wifes relatives ! Other wise I'd be right there with you ! (Maybe BEN the Molester will get hurt in the last play or so of the game)

Although my mom has a worse name for Ben, but I'm still rooting for the Packers.  I love seeing good new blood in the bowl rather than a joke of a team that could have been in there called the Seattle Seahawks.

I will probably be stoned by my neighbors for this, but I don't hate the Packers... unless they are playing the Bears.  There was a time I hated them but I guess I've softened a bit over time.

And while I won't say I hate the Steelers, I have a number of reasons I would like to see the Pack take it to them Sunday.
1. Rush Limbaugh is a huge Steelers fan
2. "Big Ben"...
News Headline: "Ben Roethlisberger Beats 3rd Rape Charge"  For some reason I just don't like this guy  ::)
3. The Lombardi Trophy has their name enough on it.  Time to pass the torch.
4. The Pack is a Central Division team, same as the Bears.  It speaks well for our division for that two teams battled it out for the NFC title and better if one of them went on to win it all.
5. And I always like to see the NFC beat the AFC.

I think it's a tossup on Sunday.  But I'm rooting for...

(ready for the rocks to come flying)

the Packers.  There, I said it!

The AFC has proved pretty much dominant this year, and the Packers are quick, but the Steelers and big and fat, and when the Pack is all tired in the 4th Quarter, they Steelers will still be big and fat.  The first half will be good, the second half will be a blowout.

I have two issues with the Steelers
(1) Ben Roethlisberger's rape scandals  >:(
(2) I still think the 2006 Superbowl XL game against the Seattle Seahawks was fixed  >:(

That being said, I'm rooting for the Packers  ;D
