I wanted to know about how long it took those of you on testosterone to stop "bleeding" or how many cycles you've had since starting testosterone. I'm on my third and it's exceptionally horrible. Pre-T I would get hot flashes, now they're much worse. Cramps are worse and my dysphoria surrounding this process used to be next to non-existent and now it's amplified. I'm not sure as to how much longer I'll continue with this process but I'm really hoping this is the last one (although I've been saying that each time).

My endocrinolgist informed me that it could take up to 6 cycles before it goes away...I couldn't tell you my experience since I haven't started T yet...

I hope it ends for you soon man.

I had my first shot a few days before my expected period.  I got that period, which was sometime around September 25th (my first shot was September 20th)  That period was my last one.  I have been on T almost 4 months.

Also weird: I wasn't "regular" until I started T. Now everything is like clock work!

it took me 4 months after taking T to get rid of that nightmare.

I've been on t for 4 months and still have my cycle. However, I had the exact opposite happen to me. As each month passed, things got lighter and where I used to have horrible cramps everytime, I now have next to nothing for cramps. Crossing my fingers that my next one doesn't come around.

I started T a week before I was supposed to get it again, I got that one and haven't had one since. I've been on T for a year.

I pretty much stopped right away. The only problem I had was actually recently when I changed to a shorter acting ester...the damn thing came back....went back on the long acting stuff at full dose so I should be ok again...
Thought I could get away with reducing the dose and changing esters at my age but obviously not...the menstrual cycle is surprisingly resilient....

My first shot of T was on the second day of my period and it stopped it in it's tracks, haven't had one since.

I will add to this again based on my recent experience of dropping dose/changing ester and the period coming back....
I took a larger shot the day it looked like it started and it did stem the flow - it was totally manageable in that respect - however I was still left with horrible cramps for a week.....not an experience I intend to repeat this month....I am on it....lol!

I had one miserable one about 2 days after my first shot, and another lighter one about 5 weeks later, and some very light spotting about 6 weeks after that. Haven't had any bleeding since.

I don't want to be on T and still get cramps every month.  That would be really bad to still cramps and be down the as having a full period.

I am having a major sad face on this matter right now. I was hoping I was finally done with all this crap but it decided to hit last night again. Crossing my fingers for it to be the last one.

I started my first injection January 4th and I got my period a few days ago.  The cessation of my menstrual cycles is one of the many things about transitioning that I'm most looking forward to - I just hope it will be quick and I won't still be waiting 4 months into therapy like some of the less fortunate guys are in this thread.  :(
