Sorry you had to experience that.

Going back and explaining what happened to store management might be in order. If those individuals did it to you, then there is a good possibility that they would do the same to someone else. The management needs to made aware of these individuals so they can be proactive in the future.
(Your incident was probably caught on their security cameras.)

It sounds like you handled the situation well.

I'm really disappointed that things like that are still going on. I've had the first part happen to me in a supermarket (staring and laughing by some workmen) but avoidance worked very well. I would have been absolutely terrified if they had taken it further like they did to you.

I think it's very important to post these sort of things, so thank you for telling us Cindy. It helps to have something to keep in the back of our minds so we don't get taken completely by surprise on the rare occasions when this might happen.

I'm glad you are feeling better, that cup of tea at 4am would have guaranteed me a completely sleep-free night!

xoxo

This sort of thing just goes to show, that there are still neanderthals out there that will do everything in their power to frighten and intimidate us.

Having not yet transitioned, not the most educated person in terms of this topic... but would imagine the overwhelming majority of people we encounter will be okay with things, or at least not let an outward indication that they aren't take over.

This particular situation, as isolated as it may be.. just goes to show that we can never let our guard down. Cindy didn't deserve this, none of us do. Male to female.. female to male..... genetic male.. genetic female...gay... straight... white.. black.. brown

We all deserve to be ourselves and to be able to do so without fear of some close minded bigot making things more difficult along the way.

I hope for a day where people as a whole can learn to be more accepting, until that day comes please all of you be safe at all times.
