Hey y'all, just stumbled upon this site this week while looking for reviews of different binders. Seemed a nice community so I thought I might as well join instead of being my usual creepy lurker self. Ahhahaa.
Started seriously thinking about transitioning about 3 years ago after realizing that androgyny just wasn't going to cut it. Finally came out to my parents half a year ago. I'm 19 and FtM. Dealt with some crippling health problems in the past that had to be resolved before I could even consider coming out to anyone, but now that I'm healthy it's time to finally start my life after being along for the ride for so long. Found an excellent endocrinologist that deals with trans patients, and they'll fit me in for the soonest appointment once I get the letter from my counselor.
Been doing my best to live as a guy since my last year of attending high school after being home tutored when I was sick. Most people assumed I was male until my name was mentioned. I'd been using the anonymity provided by being out of school for so long to my advantage. Heck, I even tried to finagle my way out of going to graduation so I wouldn't have to wear the same color gown as the girls because enough people didn't know what I was. But now it's really starting to get old and I just want to get back into the world again and stop hiding. [/sappy wall of text]
Anyhoo. This place looks like it's full of awesome people and I look forward to being a part of the community. :]
