so, here's a pre transition three days facial hair growth pic:

and three months latter this is after three days no shaving:

It's there it's just gone vellus, a little stiff and prickley but it's no problem, I'd like a 2 square inch patch taken off with some electro but it's not a problem, my upper lip hair has all but gone, I let a bunch of vellus hairs grow and slowly what few semi terminal hairs that were there have dissapeared I also used to have a little on my chin but that's completely gone.

One person who posts here has seen me completely long term unshaven pre HRT and while I only had a little before hand it was definitely there, I'm only 18 so it's probably an age thing but it was my understanding that HRT had little or no effect on facial hair.

Right now I run a razor accross it about once every four days as the semi vellus hairs get to about 2mm long and start to show up to casual inspection.

Has anyone else experienced something similar or am I the only one?

Everything I've read says that HRT has no appreciable effect on facial hair, BUT... you're young. And your "three days growth" pic shows it, lol. God, after three days I would have been a brillo pad. So perhaps your beard hadn't "matured" yet, as I believe HRT WILL prevent one from forming in puberty.

Puberty did happen rather late and never really happened properly and was in no way over when I started HRT, all that happened was that I grew slow and stead since i was ten and body/pubic hair came when i was about 15/16, I just assumed that it would stop it dead where it was not revert it back, not that I'm complaining.

LOL.  Even after being on HRT for over 11 months, it still feels that way after 3 days growth, although 98% of the remaining hair is blonde.  However, if I shave my face, it looks and feels as smooth as any other woman's face.  Weird.

That was 3 days growth?  Shoot, I had more than that an hour after shaving!  I had that manly shadow even right after shaving.  I'm sure that since you are "pubering" late, that the hormones are having an effect.  Good for you!  Bully!

i dispute the hrt has no effect... before, it took me 3 days to get my dads 1 day stubble, but now i get my 1 day, after 3, i can shave every 2 days or so, and i accidentally passed once when i hadnt shaved for 3 days, so i belive the newer the facial hair is, the greater the effect, like with scalp regrowth...

I also think it has some effect.  I know my situation is a little (well, quite a bit) different but I used to have to bleach my upper lip and thanks to the hormones I was given for polycystic ovary, after a year or so I didn't need to bleach it anymore.  Also, my arm hair lightened from brown to blond and the hair on my once scary hairy legs looks a lot thinner even if I've neglected them quite a bit!

I don't think any previous hair ceased growing or fell out or anything, but I do think the texture and color of it changed quite a bit.

Everyone is different, though.
