Anyone have links to websites explaining the whole process of transition? My mother seems baffled as to why I wanna change my name since she doesn't know any 'lesbians' that have changed their name. Since I lack the patience to correct the many things wrong with that small sentence, I wanna link her to some sites. She does use proper name and pronouns but I do believe she has missed the point.

I belong to a parent support group through yahoo...it is very helpful...there are all types of parents with ftm's....some with kids who are 4 some who have kids in the teens, twenties etc.  There is a lot of good information passed around.  Some parents come on the list angry and not accepting and you can see them change the longer they are on the list.  It is run by the guy who runs the ftm international website.
