Gonna buy a set of 3 binders tonight and I had a couple questions. I'm hoping to be stealth at work and I'm going to wear a t-shirt over an undershirt in the locker room. I'm a size C to D so I'm wondering....

For those of you that own a double front does it look like an average undershirt under a thin white T-shirt?

Tritop vs. Double front which is better for a person size C to D

Robert Scott

My opinion is that the tritops look like sports bras --- but my son wears them and he is an A ... he loves them.

I personally am a D cup and need to loose weight and I wear the double front ... I have one set of black and one set of white.  They do look like undershirts but the white are kinda see through -- not really but it makes it look like you have man boobs if  you look at me dead on -- doesn't look like smashed boobs but an over weight guy with man boobs.  I also like that length ... on me it goes down to my hips so it smooths them out a bit

Thanks for the info Rob :) Yeah I really want to do black because I think they look cleaner and they are less see-through but my the only color T-shirt allowed under my uniform is white and I'm afraid the black binder underneath the white T-shirt will make more guys curious like "what is going on with that guys chest". I eventually want to get a set of black ones too eventually.

If you don't mind me asking how bad does the double front roll up on you?

Robert Scott

I don't have problems with it rolling up on me ... but I make a point to have it on a clothing not on the skin.  I often wear a compression shirt under the binder --- if I don't wear a compression shirt I make sure the binder goes over the top of my underwear.  I also tuck my shirt in so I think that helps it keep it down too

I am a D-DD and I used to wear the double front but after two years of multiple sets of them I got tired of them rolling up or hurting my stomach so now I get the tritop ones even though they look like sports bras they don't roll up or move a lot. I don't notice a difference with how it binds my chest overall.
The story is the same, I've just personalized the name.

I'd say just wear an undershirt over the binder and under the t-shirt. that way you don't have to worry about it, and in my experience (I'm a small D), an undershirt over it helps to smooth out weird bumps.

I wear a Double Front but I fold it over so that it is the length of the Tri Top. Having two layers of the material makes it so much more effective and the issue of rolling up doesn't happen. I just stick two safety pins in it either side at the top and then I wear a white sleeveless shirt over that as my undershirt. It looks basically flat and with a t shirt over that I don't think anyone would look twice. I'm about a C I think.

I had so much problems with my double front rolling up
but i started puling it as far as it would go under my boxers
and putting cream on my but so it would stick
then it was fine for the day

Well I ordered 3 of the double front today hopefully they work out. I think I went a little too small with the size but it should work. I went with the same size I got my tri-top in a year ago but I think I've gained some weight. 2 day shipping so I'll know soon enough. Thanks everyone :)

Thanks for the suggestion Espenoah :) I'll have to try that

Sylvan- That's a good idea. I'll try that if it doesn't work out.

Karson- That's an interesting idea Karson I'm hoping if I pull it down really far it will work. The site said something about it being 4" longer... I hope that's the case

Tad

gah hit this thread too late.

The double front is horrible in my experience... like horrible. It works as a pushup bra, no matter how I position things.. it acts as a bra and not a flattener. And it accentuates curves (makes them more visible then they naturally are - so they stand out more under clothing), and the front is cut so low - and that shows through.. making it look like a bra. I HATE this binder. was a huge waste of money IMO.

TRI Top flattens eveything out well, does not acentuate curves, isn't low but, the only issue is that it only goes half way down, but throw a wife beater on over top of it and I'm good to go.

I know everyone experiences binders differently. But I'd be better off wearing a bra then the double front most days.

Yikes Tad.... well I hope it works out better for me. Really though I've had the same issues lately with the tri-top that you described from the double front so maybe I'll have better luck with it. I hope.

Hey thanks again everyone. Just put my double front on for the first time this morning and I am relieved to find out so far I love it.
It doesn't feel bra like the way the tri-top did to me. Here's some pro cons in comparison to my tri-top for anyone who might look at this later when trying to decide on a new binder type.

Pros:
Easier to get on
Longer so it feels less bra like
more comfortable
compresses my chest to look more like pecs unlike the tri-top which made me have a uni-boob
Can be rolled up to not have stomach compression occasionally

Cons:
Hotter because it covers more skin
Less stability (my chest bounces if I jump (not if I walk though))
Feels like it's bigger than a medium tri-top was

That's it for now. Might edit this after I've worn it a few days

Robert Scott

I noticed with my son he wears an xs when he gets the full length binder and a s when he gets the tritop...so I do think there is a difference in sizes.

However, the tri top I believe has 2 layers and the full one only has 2 so that makes a difference too.
