While hair can make a difference, I have long hair and can pass. It was harder pre T but I hid and still often hide my hair under a hat. I did that for the last 20+ years.

I felt like an ass though because I was debating posting a comment about it. I feel horrible when I'm...I don't know, skeptical about another person's identity.

I know, I was really torn on it myself. There are so many experiences that people have being trans, and I don't want to declare any of them invalid just because I don't understand them. But ultimately I just had to say something, and I guess learning to understand identities I don't understand is important. I have an open mind, I just wanted him to respond and say "this is just a small part of being ftm" or "it's about the confidence I've gained" or something like that. Since he didn't, I have to retain the same skepticism - and that doesn't help anyone.
