GAHHH how do I know when I'm putting on too much makeup?! Cuz sometimes I look great, yet other times I look like a clown!!

Typically the rule of thumb is if it looks like you're wearing it, you're wearing too much. You also have to decide what you want to emphasize. If you want your eyes to stand out go with a neutral lip color and whatever eye color you were working with, if you want to do a bolder color on the lips then don't play up the eye makeup too much. You have to find a good balance. As some of the other girls mentioned you can always go to Ulta or one of the make up stands at the mall for a complimentary makeover. They will help you pick the colors that work with your skin tones and then you can see how to best apply it to maximize your features.  :) :) :)

Hope that is somewhat helpful.

Hugs,
Jacquelyn

PS. You look really cute in your avatar, Ashley.  :D

Yay! lol

I need to cut my hair though... Not shorter but thinner... It's WAY too thick.

I'm a bit stunned that people think I look like a girl... I mean I'm not on any hormones or anything... Guess I'm used to my family going out of their way to tell me I'm not a girl...

Yay! lol

I'm definitely a believer that less is more with makeup.  Start out small and keep adding bit by bit to see what you like and what doesn't end up working.  From what I've heard, most girls on here hate their noses, but I've never seen why on any of them.  As long as you're not Mr. Magoo, I can't image it being a real issue.  Have fun with it, and I'm sure you'll end up with a look you like.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

And- Your nose is fine. There are plenty of actresses have larger noses: Barbara Streisand, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gisele Bundchen, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Anniston, Anne Hathaway, Kathy Griffen, Sarah Michelle Geller, Blake Lively... The list goes on, and on.

Your gorgeous, Ashley! We all have things we dislike (it's a girl thing...), we have to learn to be confident and maximize our attributes. :)

Hugs,
Jackie
