Ah the excitement of starting HRT...even if I had only started Spiro for a few months to begin. 3 weeks in and I was feeling brighter and "liberated"...it was really nice! Until I developed really intense nausea and I absolutely could not sit still or sleep. A trip to the doctor confirmed Hyperkalemia, albeit not severe, but I had taken every possible precaution to avoid more then 1g of potassium a day. (This is about 25% DV). So my doc doesn't want to push our luck and will try another approach...It's just saddening that something like that could develop on someone who's very healthy and very young (If you count 21 as being very young that is). With my luck, I'll probably develop DVT even on estrogen patches >_>
Sorry for the rant, but I figured someone would like to know if such complications could develop on a young person. That and I needed to get it out.
