So I had my first therapy session today with a therapist who specializes in sex and gender issues and it was about as awkward as I was expecting it to be.  We started off with basic information gathering then she wanted me to talk about my transgender feelings and my past etc.. which was really awkward since i've never really had to put it out there like that completely.  Discussed family, life, my gf etc..  She turned out to be really nice, was a good feeling to tell someone about it who I dont have to fear will abandon me so that part at least was well worth it.  I told her my plan and how I'd like to pure HRT and she told me her philosophy on therapy about how she doesn't like to set strict time periods but wants to just help on my journey.

She wants to see me for a few more sessions before sending me to a specialist but heres to hoping. Woo.
