I have been looking for a good therapist in Southern Georgia. I found one originally and was going to start soon but it turns out this Therapist was not what I was looking for. I have been trying to find one closer to me but if I have to go to Atlanta then I will but I want to try that as a last resort. IF anyone has any resources that can point me in the right direction that would be great!

Yeah, I am finally going to a Therapist. I have to drive 2 hours to Atlanta but it is worth the trip. It is an early appointment so afterwards I can go shopping! Yeah!

Gender Therapist in Southern Georgia don't exist. If they are here they are hiding good! I have searched the Yellow Pages, forums, Psychology Today, etc., etc. I found him through Psychology today and another website.

I'm an hour from my therapist in Atlanta, its worth the drive to talk to someone I really connect with and don't have to feel like I have to educate.  I'd be happy to give you his contact info if you like.
Our biograhies are our own and we need to accept our own diversity without being ashamed that we're somehow not trans enough.

My therapist operates out of Florida, but he also offers his services over skype, if you would like to consider online therapy as an option.

Thursday is my first appointment with my Therapist. We talked on the phone and everything seemed to go really well. He did not seemed surprised in anything I said to him but I also didn't tell him everything. I didn't come out to him but I told him how I felt and I think he got the point.

I am really nervous about Thursday!! I have only come out to one person ever and that was recently. It should be a good day,

I would love to get their contact information just in case this one did not work out. Thanks!!

That may be an option as well since going to Atlanta takes about 2 hours! Besides the gas for the car the 2 hours and 2 hours back is just a long drive. Thanks!

I was like a deer in the headlights at my first appointment.  It gets better after that, it took about 2 or 3 appointments and I'm in a really good place right now.

As for the rest of it, check your messages.  :)
