Are you in the U.S.?

If so how and where did you swing an orchi?

I live in Idaho and I went to Dr. Tagart at St Lukes in Boise. As far as getting it approved. My therapist feels I am progressing at such a rate and have become such a better and happier person that she had no issues approving an early surgery. All I had to do next was convince a doctor that could do the surgery I was prepared, and since I'm capable of selling a ketchup popsicle to a bride on her wedding day after a couple appointments she agreed I was in fact ready and agreed to do the surgery! Also having amazing insurance helps that covered everything except for a $200.00 co-pay

Oh and month 10 is added!

Just wanted to check in and say things are still progressing amazingly. Will also be looking into getting a nose job and a trach shave in the next month or two so excited about that!!

Other then my nose and adams apple my face and body have progressed well beyond anything I had hoped and to think I'm not even done yet! Gives me chills!

I love all of you sorry I rarely check in anymore but I hope everyone knows I love them and hope they are all doing amazing!

Sam(my)I am

I loved reading this, because it really put into perspective what I could expect once I (hopefully) get to start hormone treatment.
I just started with small steps but this really put into perspective what could happen, thank you very much for sharing ^^

Samantha, seeing your journey gives me confidence, seeing how far you have come shows me that its not an impossible task. Just one question, about how tall are you? I've seen snippets that some people lose a sliver of height on hrt, but I am unsure how true it is.

I'm 5'11 now according to my doctor but the military put me at an even 72" so I don't know if I have lost height or not but it seems an inch but that could also be the difference in my posture, my lower back arches now in a "s curve" where before I was straight as a board so the inch easily could have been lost there. The change in posture was interesting since I don't try to stand different I think it's just due to hormones changing the way the muscles form and caused my spine to slightly alter it's position.

My hips have also spread, not a ton, ever so slightly but it is noticable, so guess my growth plates hadn't quiet touched yet! I don't think they would have changed if they had but I just don't know. So far my doctor says I'm abnormal for my transition since my "male" voice is altered as well. Tried to talk like a guy to a company that I worked for before and knew quiet well, his statement was, "Ma'am, can you please put your boyfriend on the phone so I can speak to him even if you have his information I apologize but I can't give it to you" so that made me laugh!

Anyways it's like 3am my time and I HAVE to try to sleep. Will post a new pic tomorrow(later today?!) of me since I think I've changed even more in just a month and want to get a comparison to last month up to get everyones opinion!

Love you all!!

I have the voice part aswell on the phone...9 out of 10 people call me Ma'am or ask for my husband ....but in RL hardly anyone ever talks to me like that, I think it has to do with being fairly obviously male bodied at the moment. No-one will call you a lady in RL no matter how femme you feel or behave, because they see a guy..that bothers me, but i understand it

Thank so much for the update. I've read these eagerly over the past two years as you've posted them (I'm a slow transitioner).

Your transformation over two years is nothing short of incredible and I hope your story inspires others that are grappling wih the decision as to whether to go through with transiion.

You've certainly given me hope, so thanks!

Wishing you all the best with life.
