After seven months, I finally decided to tell my boyfriend that I am not exactly his girlfriend but a boy trapped in the body of a girl. He went pale and gave me a hug, and I told him that technically he was hugging a boy. Now he is avoiding me and I think he is a complete jerk. Many times in my childhood I have hated myself as a girl and wished that I had been born a boy. My close friends freak out every time I mention it. I am considering cutting my hair short and dressing like a boy. I want to see a doctor but I'm afraid he'll think I'm silly.
It is important that you get help to explore how you feel about being trapped in a girl's body, and don't rush down the path of changing gender – especially as you sound quite young.
