Andrej Pejic revealed backstage at the Jean Paul Gaultier show in Paris last night that he would consider a sex-change for the hot American lingerie line, Victoria's Secret - including a boob job.

"Yes, if I was offered a Victoria's Secret contract," said the flat-chested, teenage, 'femiman' icon. "You'd have to, wouldn't you. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way.

"But, at this point I'm comfortable with who I am now."

And it's people like THAT who de-legitimize and make a mockery of medical transsexuals and our needs.

If you go through their history, I would not be surprised in the least that they are TG.  She just can't quite say it out loud but her actions speak volumes.

Me, jealous of a six foot 65kg cute looking girl who has a totally hot boyfriend and wore Galliano's wedding dress at the end of his show. No not jealous at all, she probably needs a shave, somewhere.

She is very gorgeous and I have heard her interviewed, I think she is a TG model in transition at some time. She also said she would have a full sex change to be a Victoria Secrets Model. Sounds like every normal guy I have ever met.

I'm very jealous, I reckon all of the MtF would be. Bitch.

I know Andrej(virtually) and (knew him before he was famous). He is such a sweet person. I don't know why people rip on him. If he wants to model male/female/androgynous he should be able to do so.

Hasn't done bad for a boy from Broadmeadows.  I think they missed the fact that his Australian irony was showing through. And he did say he was comfortable the way he is.

And he's 19, so there's plenty of room for manoeuvre in terms of identity :).

It made me furious to hear people refer to him as the '->-bleeped-<-' model, he is not a '->-bleeped-<-' or 'trans' in any form...
He is just being himself, being androgynous or a gender-bender, it doesn't necessarily have to involve transitioning or going through with sex reassignment...

^Agreed. I Don't know anything about him personally (though I have heard other people say similar things to Dana, that he's really sweet) but I say more power to him, gender-bending and whatnot. The guy is ridiculously gorgeous as a man, and he'd be equally stunning as a woman or anything in between. I've only recently heard of him but I really, really like what I've seen so far.

Male Model Andrej Pejic Would Become A Woman (For A Victoria's Secret Contract)

http://www.queerty.com/male-model-andrej-pejic-would-become-a-woman-for-a-victorias-secret-contract-20110307/

To model for Victoria's Secret, an industry source whispered in my third eye, you must be a woman. Which has Andrej Pejic, the "femiman" model born a boy but blessed with the girlish features fashion designers love hang their clothes on, and seen here speaking to the Telegraph before walking in Jean Paul Gaultier's show in Paris, considering the possibility of a sex change if the lingerie company would offer him a contract. He's kidding, of course. Sort of. I guess? I can't tell! But: Isn't it quite neat that we can have candid chats about gender identity, even if they do take place in the fashion industry bubble?

Cut him a little slack. (Oh, and BTW I'll call him 'him' until he says he wants to be called 'she') ... He's a kid who's been thrown into the deep end of the fashion industry, which eats up beautiful girls and boys and spits them out when it's finished with them. He was also asked a question that any kid would probably find embarrassing to answer with a mic in front of them and a camera a few feet away and gave a pretty cool answer, if you ask me.

The fact is, he's incredibly gorgeous and we would all have loved to look like that at 19. But the very fact that he's so totally at ease appearing as a female model and can even begin to suggest that he'd transition for Victoria's Secret tells me that he has to be somewhere pretty far along the transgender spectrum: the average teenage guy - straight or gay - couldn't even bear to consider the possibility of transitioning ... plus, as other have pointed out, he's an Aussie and there's a whole special sense of humour to bear in mind. So he's gorgeous, modelling for top Paris designers and had a great sense of humour ...

... I'm so jealous I could VOMIT!  ;)

I think so far he's extremely well spoken as far as expressing his ideas about gender and what he identifies as (and I will also call him he until he says otherwise), he HIMSELF has been trying to bat down the assumptions interviewers are making about him being trans and looping him into the same categories as Lea T. But obviously breaking gender binaries is not an easy idea to sell to the general public, and so far a lot of media has made assumptions, such as this interview being spread around with the misled title of "androgynous model to seek sex reassignment" or something similar.

Also when you see the video itself what he actually says is clearly and obviously joking. I mean he laughs as he says 'you'd have to wouldn't you?' I don't think it was the greatest idea to joke about considering the black and white views most of his interviewers and the media have about gender, but still, as stated, he's young and JUST newly thrown into the spotlight! He's going to make mistakes.

So far I'm a big fan of his personally. If you look at other interviews such as the one from oyster magazine, he presents a much more complex understanding of gender than a lot of interviewers try to project on him. It's pretty awesome to have a someone with firm and more ranged idea of what gender is taking the spotlight.
