Michael Jackson 'chemically castrated' as child, doctor says

Michael Jackson may have been more prince than king of pop, a French doctor says in a new book alleging his wide-ranging voice resulted from a childhood chemical castration to fight acne.

"When he died, I realized that he was an unusual phenomenon," said Alain Branchereau, an opera buff and professor of vascular surgery at Timone University Hospital in France's Mediterranean port of Marseille.

"I said, 'That's the voice of a castrato!' "

Have you ever wondered how the King of Pop managed to hit those high notes?

Apparently not even death can save Michael Jackson from wild rumors. Alain Branchereau, professor of vascular surgery at Timone University Hospital in Marseille, France, claims that Jacko might have been more prince than king after all. In his book, "Michael Jackson: The Secret of a Voice," to be published on March 9, Branchereau suggests the legendary performer was in fact a eunuch.

I think this is a bunch of crap, cyprosterone has never been available in the USA. yeah, he could have gotten when he was in Europe, but not I do not think so. Knowing the religious background of his parents, no, he could have not be given such a drug. Even in Europe, during the 70"s, cyprosterone was never prescribed to adolescent males to treat acne.

Debunked!

It would be in the post mortem report if it were the case.

The Cyprosterone, along with the other stuff we use as our HRT regimen would not show up in the post mortem after all that time. These drugs and hormones flush away and/or break down very quickly.  That's why we have to take this stuff every day, like me, twice a day.  The Coroner probably did not look at the gonads that much after his death, unless he or she thinks there are clues there to the cause of death.  They look in the blood, liver, kidney, thyroid, bone marrow and other glands for the chemical clues and any physical destruction in those that could give clues to his death rather than his sexual/reproductive history.  These other elective things are done when the county coroner is done with the body by an independent pathologist.  A little late for that anyway. His family didn't care for that anyway, they just wanted to bury him and say goodbye.  All this is, is more fodder for the tabloids.
As for the high 'Castrado', I have friends with that kind of voice and they didn't have any problems siring or raising their children. Some can do Michael Jackson impersonations.  Michael did have siring problems, but that could be from any of the myriad natural things that can go wrong during his development.
This reminds me of the biographies I read of the child stars in the past were done in by their studios and managers when it came to drugs for performance enhancement.  These kids did not do well as adults. The drugs and alcohol killed them in the end. As for Michael, RIP.  Let us leave him alone.  Just get at that Dr. Feelgood who put him down.

Just another typical case of classification-frenzy - if he's not obviously this, he has to be that. Pff.
