I just found a therapist in my area that works with transsexuals, LGBTQ issues, etc.
She works on a sliding scale, and she's also gonna have me talk to a "resident" counselor who I don't have to pay!
I told my mom I was going to start going to therapy, but I didn't say for what.
I mean, she wasn't shocked at the therapy thing.
There are issues I've had since childhood (obviously), but I never really rocked the boat as a kid.
I just went to whatever therapist they sent me to.
Anyway.
Big step, as I had to tell a stranger that I was trans.
I'm really nervous, but I'm hoping for the best.
