Hello, I'm new to this community....Well, to be honest, any community of Transgenders. I've never been in a LGBT, online community, or even an informal group of friends...So, I'm not really sure what to say. I suppose a little about me?
I am:
- MTF. That is to say, I am physically a man, but otherwise a woman. I have not begun any stage of the transition yet, but I hope to begin hormones and antiandrogens as soon as possible, as well as voice training. I hope to complete every stage (FFS, SRS, etc.) eventually, and be fully a woman.
- I live at home. No one in my family has any idea that I am Transgender. Neither does anyone else, for that matter, except for one friend I just told today (although I plan to talk to an additional friend in a few days).
- A senior in High School, I graduate this year (hopefully!). I have been accepted to a very good college, with a pretty good J.F.K. scholarship for effort, but will likely not attend due to the scholarship not nearly covering the tuition. It's a pricey place, haha.
- Currently jobless....Which is a problem, it seems like the transition is really going to cost a fair chunk of change (It's worth it to me, but whether or not I can afford it period is questionable).
- Very into Martial Arts, I currently hold a blackbelt in my schools mixed style, and I have....well, to be generous, RUDIMENTARY training in Aikido. haha.
- I also enjoy cooking, reading, music....All sorts of things, really, I have very diverse tastes.
- I was raised Catholic, but am Agnostic, although recently I prayed for guidance and strength from God, and I believe that I may have been shown a sign, so I am tentatively exploring unorganized Thiesm.
- I live in the American Midwest, in the suburbs of a decent sized town.
- I am a Bisexual woman, sexually I find women more attractive (usually). Emotionally, I am attracted to men.
- I love animals, I think we really don't give them enough credit. Did you know that wolves mate for life, and mourn?
- I started manifesting young, probably around 6 years old, but I never realized what it meant until recently, I've only been properly aware of, and confronting, my gender issues for a few months.
- My dream in life is to be a housewife.
Anything else you may want to know, I'd be more than happy to discuss with you. I'm a bit tired as I write this, so I may be forgetting something, haha. What am I missing.....Oh! Right! My name. Well, I've tried out several, and it's still rather tentative, but I would be absolutely delighted if you called me Serenity. Thank you for reading all the way through this big ramble!
