The drop in pay happened to a TS in a male dominated field,Computer Programming. This was on TV about a story of what happens to someone who transitioned on the job.
The good thing about it was that she was able to retain her job.

I work at the VA which has a strong EEOC policy which specifically mentions trans-folks as being covered under EE policies but...we had a training a few weeks ago on women's health and someone (another nurse) brought up transwomen (we have several vets who are trans) and how they have some health needs similar to GGs and some of the nurses there laughed. That got my hackles up but I didn't say anything. I should have and I regret my silence now. So I think a few of the older, more conservative nurses might have an issue with my transition but as long as they keep quiet about it all will be fine.

FSM help thems as give me grief because I'll go to the EEOC and union so fast some of the old-timers will lose their wigs at the speed in which I move.
