So I found this compression shirts and control shorts in a catalog and I'm wondering if they will work the same way as a binder but they look more for sports uses so I'm not sure if I should get them, they're not too expensive either.
Any Ideas ?
Luke.

They do not work nearly as well as a binder (imo). I used one before I had access to a binder, and it helped somewhat.

I have a compression shirt. If I wear a small sports bra under it, it works fairly well as long as you aren't wearing a tighter shirt. But it won't work as well as a binder. Works well if you don't have the money to buy a binder.

I had a compression shirt once, that I used over a binder as a swim shirt.  I tried putting it on without the binder once, just to see what it would do, and honestly, it didn't work for me AT ALL.  Didn't even sort of flatten, just kind of stretched around my chest.  I feel like your chest has to be pretty darn small for one of these shirts to be effective on its own.  Unless you're like an a-cup or smaller, I wouldn't waste my money on one if I were you.

Thanks for all of the replies.
I'll guess I have to save my pennies up for binder unless I get a big brothers binder though I have to be over 18 or have to get a parents permission...

Hey Luke, if you're hurting for cash, check out the ftm garage sale. It's a livejournal thing, but guys post things for sale on there when they want rid of them or grow out of their binder or need money for top surgery, etc. I've seen quite a few binders on there. They're usually slightly used, but they're cheaper than a brand new one. Just google "ftm garage sale". Hope this helped!  ;D
