I am in need of help with finding a doctor in the Oklahoma City, OK area who can prescribe hormones and possibly be my primary doctor.
Here is my situation:
I am an OTR truck driver who lives in Golden Valley, AZ for a company based out of Oklahoma City, OK. I have been self administering hormones for 12+ months so far and feel the need to get professional help with continuing this. My insurances website has the option to search for covered physicians using various parameters, etc... I have used this to look for a doctor in both the Golden Valley, AZ and Oklahoma City, OK areas. Unfortunately, at home the nearest possible doctors seem to be in the Las Vegas, NV and Phoenix, AZ areas. Both are over 100 miles away, and since I am only home 2-4 days a month making that trek by car after driving a truck all month does not appeal to me. Plus the fact that home time can be requested for specific days, actually being home during those days can be iffy. Now, in the Oklahoma City, OK area there are a ton of search results to choose from. Being in the Oklahoma City area on a predetermined day is much easier since my company does a lot of business in the area, either picking up or delivering, plus the option of passing a load on to another driver. So I have decided upon finding a permanent doctor in that area.
Now firstly, do others agree that the OKC, OK option is a rational one. And then does anyone have advice, or information on how to locate an appropriate doctor?
