I have a question and I wonder if anyone else experiences this. (By the way, I'm new here, so if this is the wrong place to post this sort of thing, please direct me to the correct spot.)

When I do my testosterone shot, I jab my upper thigh, alternating left and right every time. I try to hit about the same spot each time. However, I hate doing it in my right leg because the testosterone feels like it seeps toward my knee and makes the joint ache, sometimes for a few days afterwards. I don't see blood when I pull back on the plunger of the syringe, so I'm not hitting a blood vessel or anything. Likewise this doesn't happen every time I jab my right leg. I really can't jab anywhere else; I'm rather puny muscle-wise and I'm not about to go into my buttock muscles willingly, especially since I do my own jabs and don't have anyone else who can do them for me. I have been meaning to talk with my doctor about this for a while, but I never get around to it.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I did one shot in my thigh and it killed! I can twist around enough to do it in my butt cheek; I started out doing it in front of a mirror. Good luck! ;D

See ... I got my 2nd shot in my butt ... OWWWW ... it burned bad ... I was weird on the first one and I did it in my calf ... which was relatively painfree DURING the shot, but had a nice ache after.  I know that when my dose ups, I probably won't want to do it in my calf anymore, but I figured at .25 it was fine.

Sorry guys, but everytime I see the title of this thread, one song keeps popping into my head.

OK She will leave now.

Doing it in the exact same spot, even though alternating, might be what's causing it? I do mine in my thigh and there is a range of spots you can do it. Try talking to your doc about it but there are some basic pictures online which can show you what I mean. I do it in the same area each time but a different specific spot.

I tried mine butt muscle one and like Logan, it burned so horribly I never wanted to try again....

I alternate sides each week and I do it in my glute...I have thought about trying it in my thigh but haven't been able to bring myself to do it for some reason. I do just fine when I put it in my glute thought. My doc told me to inject it slow because it's contained in the oil. If I do it to fast it burns a little, nothing I can't handle at this point though, and the next day I usually feel like I have a bruise there but nothing serious.

I got similar symptoms, then eventually got a hematoma in my thigh, not fun. Very painful. After that, I switched to taking it in the butt. No problems since. I do my own shots, and it's possible to do your own shots in the butt if you use a mirror.
