The answer to your first question is yes.

You're free to be whatever you are - and you're free to have what you are change as time goes on too. None of this is set in amber, it's a flowing thing. If you can find ways that you're comfortable expressing your changing self, go for it.

If the cops pick you up

welll they won't know where to put you

Start wear you are comfortable.  I started out with adding in more feminine pants once in a while and now I don't wear guy pants at all.  Feel like i am swimming in a burlap bag in guy pants.   And now I still wear guy tshirts when the situation calls for it but a lot of the time I will wear feminine cut shirts.  Eventually transition will come and I can go all girl all the time.
We were all born this way.  Don't let world stupidness to bring you down to its level.  Rise above and love yourself.   ;)

Hi Mrajbx3 (if that's your real name),

The answer to the main title is "Yes, you can be both", but I'm not sure that is the real question.  You also want suggestions to help you appear more feminine.

Some of the more obvious answers would be hair, clothes, make up, body shapers, nails, voice and movements.

Hair - Choose a more feminine hair style, either by styling your own hair or wearing a wig.

Clothes - Depending on how feminine you want to be, skirts, cute tops, pants, jeans...whatever.  Don't forget shoes (as if).  Please keep in mind that one should dress according to what they will be doing and the people around them.  Don't wear a wedding dress to Wal-Mart unless you want people to stare (and most likely laugh), and don't wear hooker clothes unless you plan on working a corner.

Make Up - Sounds like you have this one covered.

Body Shapers - Breast forms (Not OMG huge), hip pads, Spanx and all those things to give you curves in all the right places.  Don't get carried away, most girls don't look like Barbie dolls, and 36-24-36 is a lot closer to a lock combination than most girls' actual measurements.

Nails - Clean and neat at the minimum.  Long, polished, fake, stick-on...your choice.

Voice - You can look like Angelina Jolie, but if you sound like Brad Pitt, you won't fool anyone.

Movement - How you walk, stand, express yourself can also be a dead giveaway.  If you walk like a cowboy fresh off the trail, or a linebacker after a ball game, those heels are going to look a little out of place.

Before anyone can be of a lot more help, there are some questions that must be answered...at least in my mind (wherever I left it)

1)  Is this a sometimes thing, or do you want to look more feminine all the time?

2)  Are you wanting to gradually change your look, or go for something quicker?

3)  How far do you want to go, and how much are you willing to spend?  Electrolysis and/or Laser Hair Removal is a good thing to get rid of that beard shadow, but it ain't cheap.  Hormone Replacement Therapy is a permanent thing, and not to be entered into lightly (or without a doctor's supervision).  Neither is FFS.

Another suggestion would be to visit the M-t-F and Cross Dressers sections for how to help to overcome those guy features/traits and begin to appear more feminine.

Hope this helps.....Laurry
Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

My recommendation is to get on spironolactone as soon as possible to prevent your body from naturally looking more masculine down the road. You'll be able to keep a more youthful appearance and thereby will be able to go back and forth in appearance for much longer.

you can be both - I am
If it is just about apearance then the cross dressing area my be where you will find answers if you only with to be seen as Male or a Female
If it is about matching you Body to your identity of both It can get tricky mostly because of finding Medical people willing to help you become both is near impossible I'm lucky enough to have found a doctor who was willing to take me seriously enough to perscribe me hrt but finding options for being both "down there" is full of dead ends.
I am told that I brave for presenting as both with my full beard  C cup breast (forms) & female clothes I get comments but have not had any real issues.

there is nothing illegal about presenting as who you are at least not in australia.
I don't do anything that would get me in trouble with the police if you are concerned with the legal implications of being different  find out for yourself

Yes, you can certainly be both, however my preference is for existing somewhere beyond/outside the binary.

You can be either, both, or neither, but I suppose the best thing you can do for yourself is to divorce all the rules on gender from your decision.  Forget that women are the ones who are supposed to dress up pretty and men are the ones who dress up in drab.  Forget all the rules about how you walk, how you talk, whether you wear make-up or wear heels or like long hair or whatever.  None of those define your gender.  Those are just silly rules most people obey and enforce to varying degrees.  If you strip away all those rules, what is left?  Who do you feel you are?

I am male-bodied.  I feel that I really am a man.  But that doesn't stop me from wearing pretty things.  But then, sometimes I don't want to.  I don't think it's a matter of fluctuating gender as much as my desires changing according to the situation (if I'm gonna go running or other physical activity, I'll go for the more functional male clothing; if it's time to look nice/fancy, I'll prefer certain female clothing; and yet I rarely want an ensemble that happens to be perfectly gendered regardless of the situation).  It's something I'm still making complete sense of, but I do have a couple places where it's "safe" for me to wear, say, dresses without make-up, so I'm getting used to dressing as I'd like, at least to a pretty decent extent.

Take your time, and even if you have an answer, don't feel you are ever permanently committed to it.
