Just wanted to share because I can barely believe the first picture use to be me.  Since then I've halved my body fat, lost 20 lbs at least, gained untold amounts of confidence, become much more social, learned how to fight and basically am having the time of my life.  Seriously ... amazing.

Awesome difference, dude! We're kind of alike, except I've got about 100 lbs I could probably lose, if I could get really lean. I've already got some fight experience but would like to really train hard in it just for the satisfaction of knowing I can do it.

It's been a hard road and I'm sure there are more challenging times ahead.  I haven't heard from my parents for months and I'm pretty sure that's a geyser that's due to explode at some point.  Finding the money for top surgery is a huge problem at the moment.  Overall it's been an exciting year in a positive way.  The muscle growth is so much better than I expected, my voice passes perfectly and no hair loss.  Yet.  My relationship with my partner is better than it ever has been.  I've been well accepted outside of my family which is great.  I'm looking forward to seeing what the next year brings. 

@sascraps - Beginning training isn't as difficult as it might seem.  My gloves literally cost more than the bag I'm jabbing.  An Everlast reflex bag around $55 - 60.  The best place to begin is exactly where you are now.  Waiting until some undetermined point in the future is a good way to never start.

This site has been a good support for me.  Everyone who talked to me a year ago knows how messed up I was then.  I haven't come full circle but life is most certainly looking up.
