You always hear about people scrambling for job, especially in this economy.
Are there any success stories out there?

I've been with the same company for 12-1/2 years.  If you can see my ticker (if you don't have signatures turned off), you can see that I recently transitioned in-place.  They were very, very supportive, and I am completely accepted.  People who knew me for 12 years as Tim now treat me as if I've always been Colleen.  It's wonderful!

I stayed with the same employer and was promoted three more times before leaving in the late 90's for the private sector.  Making a far better income than I earned working for the government...also have the side gig as an expert witness in my area of expertise.

It'll be 22 years in Oct of this year. Very supportive of my change.

While I am post-transition but still pre-op, I returned to school because I could not find work.  I had worked for my old employer for a year after going full time.
